I’m going to show you how to make delicious dill pickle chicken wings using my favorite spice mix. These wings are super easy to make and they’ll impress even the pickiest eaters.

What is called the Dill Pickle Chicken wings?
Chicken wings are a kind of main dish that is very famous in Spain and Mexico. While traditionally deep-fried, they turn out just as tasty when cooked in an Air Fryer.
These wings are as if you took the best grilled chicken wing and married it with deep-fried pickles. The chicken wings are juicy and crisp, and the pickle butter is toasted and crunchy, making for a winning combination of flavor and texture. The pickle brine is savory and refreshing.

Parts of The Chicken Wing
Depending on the size of the Chicken, a wing can be larger than a chicken drumstick.
The moderate wing is the flattened area between its drummette and tip. It’s technically a portion of the wing, but the name “wing” is more common. You’ll get this if you ask for wings on a menu.
The wingtip is an optional addition to your purchased Chicken wing. The butcher will probably remove this section because there isn’t much meat there. Don’t waste the wing tip if it comes with your serving — freeze it. Soups and stocks benefit significantly from their addiction.

Cooking Instructions
Step-1: Combine water, butter, granulated white sugar, and salt into a large mixing bowl. When the water starts boiling, stir a bit roughly. Stir until the mixture thickens and doesn’t stick to the pot.
Step-2: Mix the mixture with a paddle attachment in a stand mixer or heat-safe bowl. This cools the Chicken wing wings, so eggs may be added. 3-5 minutes are needed.
Step-3: Once the wings are fantastic, add the eggs while mixing—a stickier mixture. Transfer the Chicken wing mixture to a star-tipped piping bag.
Step-4: Stick three to four inches of Chicken wing stick onto an unlined baking sheet. Cutter or knife the end. 30-minute freeze on the baking sheet.
Step-5: Preheat the air fryer to 360F for 3 minutes before baking the Chicken wing. Bake frozen Chicken wing sticks in an air fryer for 13-14 minutes. Depending on your air fryer, you may need to bake these in batches. Freeze leftover Chicken wings to prevent softness.

Instructions
- It’s time to brine the chicken – Put the chicken wings in a large plastic bag and pour the pickle brine over them. Remove as much air as possible, seal, and chill for at least 8 hours and up to overnight.
- Preheat – Prepare a grill temperature of 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Put the breadcrumbs in the oven – Melt 2 tbsp of butter in a grill-safe pan. In a frying pan, toast the Panko breadcrumbs over medium heat, tossing frequently, until they are evenly toasted and golden brown. Putting aside.
- Get the wings ready – After soaking in brine, drain the wings and pat them dry with paper towels. Coat the wings in avocado oil by tossing them in the oil.
- Grill – Spread the wings out on the grill rack and close the cover. Carefully lift the grill top every 3 to 4 minutes to turn the wings over and check on them. Make sure to keep cooking and turning the wings until they reach a golden brown color and an internal temperature of 175 degrees F. Take the wings off the grill.
- Create the butter with crunchy pickles – Add the toasted breadcrumbs to the remaining butter, Fish & Veggie Rub, and pickle brine (new, fresh brine, not the same thing you used with the raw chicken!). Toss the grilled wings in the large bowl with the crisp pickle butter to coat evenly.
- Enjoy – Quickly dish up the dill pickle chicken wings and dig in.

Pro Tips
The nighttime brine. It takes around an hour per pound of chicken to brine, so you can do it in as short as 3 hours and get great results, but I usually put my in the brine the night before. It seems to soak into the wings a little bit more than the rest of the meat.
It’s important to always have some Fish and Veggie Rub on hand. We can’t keep our kitchen stocked without my Fish and Veggie Rub. To put it simply, we put it on everything. You can use my recipe for Homemade Vegetable Seasoning if you don’t have a bottle on hand when you want to prepare this recipe.
If you have a preferred grilling method, use it. I like the combination of the crisp exterior and tender meat on these chicken wings, so I grill them quickly and at a high temperature. These are suitable for any grill that can reach temperatures of 425 degrees Fahrenheit, whether gas or charcoal. If you don’t feel like firing up the grill, you may always air fry your preferred option.
Coat right away in cinnamon sugar. With the heat, the mixture will stick to the surface better.
The drippings from the pan can be used to make a rich and tasty gravy, so feel free to save them. However, I would feel bad about wasting the flavorful liquid that has collected at the bottom of the baking dish. So, either make gravy out of it or use it to baste some wings.
Before seasoning and roasting the Chicken, pat the skin dry. Do not neglect this crucial initial step; skin that has been dried off before being baked will become even crispier in the oven.
Chicken wings can range from tiny to extra large, so keeping that in mind when estimating cooking time is essential. Next, place a meat thermometer in the center of the thickest section of the wing to check the doneness. They’re ready to eat when the internal temperature reaches 180 degrees Fahrenheit.

Recipe variations
- To make chocolate, include one tablespoon of cocoa powder in the batter.
- Frying: If you want to try authentic Chicken wings, we have those, too—both the traditional baked and deep-fried kinds.
- Those who want a more muted spice taste can leave the spices out of the wings.
Storing
The shelf life of cooked Chicken wings that have been stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container is around 3-4 days.
Frozen Chicken wings can be kept for three to six months if they are well-wrapped and placed in an airtight container.

Why you’ll love this recipe
They require minimal effort and time to prepare. First, pat the wings dry, and toss them in oil and a flavorful spice mixture. The next step is a 90-minute bake time, during which they should become tender and cooked.
They’re much less of a hassle than preparing a complete Chicken. Having a more intimate holiday gathering this year? You can satisfy your Chicken craving by cooking up a batch of these wings.
An expertly selected mixture of dried herbs and spices gives them a bold flavor. Plenty of paprika, oregano, basil, garlic powder, and onion powder is required for this dish. An additional flavor boost can be achieved by using chicken or Chicken broth.
